Tom Brady Cut a Radio Interview Short After Host Called His Daughter a 'Pissant'

Everything Tom Brady and wife Gisele Bündchen do seems to be in the public eye, but that doesn't mean that their children should be criticized. The superstar couple has three children—John, 10; Benjamin, eight; and Vivian, five—who all make appearances in the new Facebook Watch documentary Tom vs. Time, which explores the athlete's professional and personal life. However, Brady cut a recent radio interview short after a host insulted his daughter before his appearance.

Alex Reimer, a radio host on WEEI, a sports radio show, made the remark on Thursday afternoon, reportedly calling Vivian “an annoying little pissant” in reference to a portion of the documentary. Brady, who makes a weekly appearance on the same show, was so enraged that he called in to tell the hosts how upset he was about the comment. “I’ve tried to come on this show for many years and show you guys a lot of respect,” he said. “I’ve always tried to come on and do a good job for you guys, so it’s very disappointing when you hear that, certainly with my daughter or any child. They certainly don’t deserve that.” After host Kirk Minihane apologized and said he agreed with the New England Patriots quarterback's comments, Brady said he would have to evaluate if he will return to the show at all.

Brady certainly does not need any distractions this week as he prepares to face the Philadelphia Eagles at the Super Bowl this Sunday, February 4. The quarterback has a famously strict diet (he has notably never tried a strawberry!), so we assume he hung up the phone and immediately went outside to decompress in the lush vegetable garden at his Los Angeles home. We hope Vivian and the rest of his adoring family joined him.
