LIZ LOZA: The Olympics are finally in full swing with the very first medal of the games being awarded on Saturday, in the women's 10 meter air rifle.

Personally, I'm pretty pumped to see the US women try to redeem themselves on the pitch versus New Zealand. And for the US Women's water polo team to hit the pool today.

The American ladies are looking for their third consecutive Olympic gold medal, and I think they're going to get it in Tokyo.

Thanks to these superstars. Team captain Maggie Steffens and goalkeeper Ashleigh Johnson, are considered two of the best players in the entire world. Then, you got Maddie Musselman Yes, she's an attacker named Maddie Musselman

That got us thinking about athletes with perfectly suited names. An aptronym is a name that fits a person's character or occupation. Usain Bolt is the quintessential Olympic aptronym, but he's not alone.

Aside from Matty Musclemen, we've got plenty of appropriately named athletes in Tokyo. Some of our favorites, goalkeeper Tom Glover, cyclist Payton Ridenhour, tennis player Tennys Sandgren, swimmer Hunter Armstrong.

A few of our other favorite unique names include sprinter English Gardner, and softball star Bubba Nickles. We know all on field action will be lit.

But what are these athletes up to when they aren't in competition? Here's a sneak peek courtesy of the athletes themselves.
