It's title time for Section V flag football: Which three teams will claim trophies?

There are a few new hands who could carry away the Section V championship trophies from Monroe Community College, site of the Section V flag football finals.

This is the second varsity season in Section V, and the number of sectional class champions goes from two in 2023 to three May 21-22.

One defending champion can collect a second trophy. The Penfield Patriots made it back to the Class A tournament final, where the teams from the largest schools in Section V based on enrollment figures play.

Batavia also is a finalist again. Greece Arcadia is in one of the two Class B championship games, after it reversed a rough 2023 regular season with a run to the Class A semifinals. Greece Athena has come a lot further than it did last spring in Class A, this time in Class B1.
