Title chase is on: MIAA announces high school boys basketball state tournament field
The MIAA released the pairings for the high school hockey and basketball pairings on Saturday.
The South Shore, as it usually is, will be well represented in the boys basketball field with 29 teams in the five state tournaments.
Archbishop Williams, which now plays in Division 2, won the Div. 3 state title last winter. The Bishops dispatched of Cardinal Spellman in a thrilling semifinal en route to the state championship. Holbrook went on a surprising run to the Div. 5 semifinals.
