Titans injury report vs. Saints: Mike Vrabel says if Treylon Burks, Harold Landry will play

The Tennessee Titans are heading into Sunday's season opener relatively healthy.

Coach Mike Vrabel said the team will have only one injured player who won't play when the Titans visit the New Orleans Saints on Sunday (noon, CBS). Cornerback Tre Avery is expected to be the only inactive Tennessee player.

This means Vrabel expects wide receiver Treylon Burks, linebacker Harold Landry, offensive lineman Dillon Radunz and defensive end Arden Key to be active Sunday despite appearing on the injury report throughout the week. Burks was a full participant in practice this week but is still working back from an LCL injury his left knee suffered on Aug. 16. Key missed a couple of practices toward the end of training camp with a calf injury but also was a full participant this week.

Per the injury report the Titans released Friday afternoon, Landry and Radunz are questionable for Sunday. Neither Burks nor Key has an injury designation.

Landry, who missed the 2022 season with a torn ACL, has been limited in practice this week with an abdomen injury. Radunz is working back from a torn ACL of his own and didn't begin practicing until the preseason ended. Avery started three games as a rookie last season but has practiced mostly with the second-stringers throughout training camp. He is battling a hamstring injury.

The Titans also listed receiver DeAndre Hopkins and tight end Trevon Wesco on their injury report Thursday, but both players were just getting rest days and designated as being on the list for non-injury reasons.

Injuries were a major hurdle for the Titans, leading the NFL in most players used each of the past two seasons, including 2022, when key contributors like quarterback Ryan Tannehill, offensive linemen Taylor Lewan and Ben Jones, defensive linemen Jeffery Simmons and Denico Autry, and defensive backs Kristian Fulton and Amani Hooker all missed significant time.
