Titans GM Jon Robinson releases statement on Isaiah Wilson situation

Shortly after placing 2020 first-round pick and offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson on the Reserve/Non-Football Illness list, Tennessee Titans general manager Jon Robinson released a statement on the situation.

In his statement, Robinson confirms that Wilson’s placement on the list is a result of his dealing with personal issues. The hope is that Wilson can eventually re-join the team.

“Today we placed Isaiah Wilson on the Reserve Non-Football Illness list,” the statement reads. “Currently he is dealing with some personal issues, which will take some time for him to work through. We will continue to help him and support him, with the hope that he can ultimately re-join the team.

Wilson being placed on the list comes on the heels of his being activated on Monday after being suspended for the Week 13 game against the Cleveland Browns.

Wilson, who has gotten in hot water on several occasions this season, has taken the field in just one game and played a grand total of just four snaps in his rookie campaign.
