Titans’ Brett Kern reacts to being on banner outside Nissan Stadium
At one point in his career, Tennessee Titans punter Brett Kern was down and out after getting cut by the Denver Broncos in 2009, but he has seen quite the turnaround since then.
Shortly after that happened, the Titans picked him up and since then Kern has become arguably the best punter in the NFL and is now featured on one of the banners outside of Nissan Stadium going into 2020.
After practice on Sunday, Kern spoke about the honor of being on one of the new banners, along with cornerback Adoree’ Jackson and safety Kevin Byard.

For a punter to get featured like that is pretty rare. It just goes to show how much of a mark the man we call “The GOAT” has left during his tenure in Nashville.
Kern has made the Pro Bowl in each of the past three seasons, but for the first time in his career he was named a First-Team All-Pro in 2019.
A new wrinkle all players will have to adjust to in 2020 is not having fans in the stands for games. As of right now, we know the Titans will be playing in empty stadiums for each of their first three contests.
Kern says not having fans could impact the depth perception of kickers and punters, however he doesn’t believe it’ll have any effect on swirling winds.
