Tigers defeat Shadle Park
Dec. 15—EPHRATA — The Ephrata boys basketball team evened its record at 2-2 in Tuesday's home win over Shadle Park, defeating the visiting Highlanders 54-48.
Senior Cody Black scored 20 points in Tuesday's win, converting on six of 14 shots from beyond the arc in the win. Behind Black was senior Hans Roberts, who scored 14 points and connected on two late free throws that iced the game away in Ephrata's favor. Senior Hayden Malone scored six points early in the game to jumpstart the Tiger offense.
Ephrata trailed 14-11 after the first frame, but scored 20 points in the second quarter to take a 31-29 lead into the halftime locker room. With the game tied at 39 entering the fourth quarter, the Tigers outscored Shadle Park 15-9 over the final eight minutes of the game.
