KEWAUNEE – In a battle for first place in the Packerland Conference, Drew Daoust scored 41 points, including 14 in overtime, to lift the Eagles past the Storm. Daoust was a perfect 19-for-19 at the free throw line, including all 12 attempts in the extra session.
The game was a tight affair throughout and was tied at 31-31 at halftime and 64-64 after regulation, before Daoust took charge.
Also helping power Southern Door were Matthew Malvitz with 12 points, and Caden Pierre and Tyler Neinas with 11 each.
Thomas Stangel led Kewaunee with 23 points, while Connor Kilgore added 21 and Braxton Riha with 12.
With the win, the Eagles move to 9-4 overall and 7-0 in the Packerland, while Kewaunee falls to 8-4 and 6-1.
