The Oklahoma City Thunder will have an unusual afternoon tipoff time against the New York Knicks on Saturday, and they’ll have to do it without multiple usual starters.
Oklahoma City will have to face the Knicks without guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and forward Darius Bazley.

Gilgeous-Alexander suffered a quadriceps contusion and will miss the game against the Knicks. Bazley will miss his second game in a row due to a left shoulder contusion. Those two join George Hill (thumb surgery) as the three opening-day starters who will not be in Oklahoma City's lineup. Rookie Josh Hall is out with left knee soreness.

Starting point guard Elfrid Payton is out due to a strained right hamstring. His backup, Derrick Rose, also won't play because of COVID-19 protocol. Austin Rivers is away from the Knicks for the birth of his child, according to Ian Begley. Mitchell Robinson remains out due to a right hand fracture.
