Thunder rookie Tre Mann out for rest of summer league

Oklahoma City Thunder rookie Tre Mann will miss the remainder of summer league, the team announced on Thursday.

The Florida guard is out for personal reasons, according to the Thunder. No other information was provided.

Mann had six points on 3-for-14 shooting against the Detroit Pistons in the summer league opener and then posted 12 points on 4-for-15 shooting against the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night. He missed all six 3-pointers he attempted over the two contests.

Mann was selected with the No. 18 pick in the NBA draft. He is expected to become a part of the guard rotation as a shooting option.

As a sophomore at Florida, the 6-foot-5 guard averaged 16.0 points per game and shot 40.2% from 3 on 4.7 attempts per game.

Now that Mann is out, the Thunder may be down both first-round draft picks in the immediate future. Josh Giddey, the No. 6 overall pick in the draft, missed the game against the Pelicans after spraining an ankle five minutes into the first game of summer league.
