Three Rivers beats Sturgis, 9-1

The Three Rivers soccer team held on to the Adams Cup with a win on Monday.

The annual contest saw the Lady Wildcats beat Sturgis, 9-1. Three Rivers scored twice in the opening nine minutes of the game, Paige McDonald found the back of the net on both of those.

Then, in the next seven minutes, Three Rivers scored twice again. Summer Morrill scored on a free kick from outside the 18-yard box and then Tori Thorbjornsen scored on a deflection out in front of the net.

Both Morrill and McDonald finished the game with three goals apiece.

Thorbjornsen scored twice in the game for the Cats. Alex Wheat also scored once.

Amaria Currier made six saves in net for Three Rivers. The Cats are now 8-5-2 on the season. The win was the second in a row for Three Rivers.

Sturgis is now 0-12-0 for the season.

Bronson wins 

The Bronson soccer team picked up a 4-2 victory over Hanover-Horton on Monday.

The win was the second on the season for the Vikings, which improved to 2-10-1 on the season.

Dowagiac tops Constantine 

The Constantine soccer team fell in a matchup with Dowagiac on Monday, 5-2.

With the loss, the Lady Falcons are now 2-13-1 on the season.

Marcellus 1, Bangor 0 

The Marcellus soccer team beat Bangor 1-0 on Monday evening.

With the win, the Lady Wildcats improve to 3-7-0 on the season.
