Theo Riddick, Nick Vannett and other deep fantasy adds for Week 10

Your weekly waiver deadline has come and gone, so today we offer a six-pack of fantasy freebies, each available in 90 percent of Yahoo leagues. We begin with Theo Riddick, a familiar name who’s looking at a significant rest-of-season workload…

Theo Riddick, RB, Detroit (at Chi, 10% owned)

Detroit flipped Golden Tate to the Eagles at the trade deadline, leaving 9.9 targets per game up for grabs. Riddick appears to be the biggest beneficiary in terms of workload following Tate’s departure. He led the Lions in receptions in Sunday’s loss, hauling in seven balls for 36 yards on eight chances. Riddick is certainly not as talented after-the-catch as Tate, and will not stress defenses to the same extent. To be clear: Riddick is not Tate’s equal. But it now seems that he’ll receive a substantial bump in targets. Go get him, PPRists.

Spencer Ware, RB, Kansas City (Ari, 6% owned)

Ware isn’t much more than a handcuff-with-benefits, running well behind Kareem Hunt in KC. But the Chiefs are a 17-point favorite over Arizona this week, so it isn’t crazy to think we’ll see plenty of Ware in the second-half at Arrowhead. He converted six touches into 81 yards last week. The Cardinals defense ranks next-to-last in both rushing yards (143.1 YPG) and rushing scores (12) allowed so far this season.

Chris Conley, WR, Kansas City (Ari, 1% owned)

Sammy Watkins is dealing with a foot issue that sidelined him at Wednesday’s practice, and it would make plenty of sense to rest him in this week’s matchup against two-win Arizona. Conley figures to see an uptick in snaps and targets if Watkins can’t go on Sunday. He played 34 snaps in last week’s win — 16 more than Demarcus Robinson. Conley would be a reasonable desperation play in deeper formats.

Josh Doctson, WR, Washington (at TB, 8% owned)

Washington’s matchup is obviously terrific this week, as the team travels to Tampa Bay to face an abysmal pass defense (8.9 Y/A, 22 pass TDs allowed). Doctson caught a touchdown pass last week against Atlanta and he’s drawn 17 targets over his last three games. (Maurice Harris is the preferred option if you’re looking for a Washington receiver, but his ownership percentage is already at 20 percent and climbing.)

Donte Moncrief, WR, Jacksonville (at Ind, 10% owned)

MONCRIEF REVENGE GAME!!!

*Ahem*

No, that’s a joke. Moncrief’s history with the Colts is not a factor here. We’d just like to note that he’s seen a whopping 34 targets over his last four games and he’s delivered at least 75 yards in three of his last five. He can help. Moncrief currently leads all Jaguars receivers in targets (56) and snaps (419, 78.9 percent). He’s perhaps not the most exciting name in the player pool, but there’s little doubt he’ll be heavily targeted.

Nick Vannett, TE, Seattle (at LAR, 4% owned)

If you’re looking for tight end assistance in Week 10, please note that Vannett caught six balls for 52 yards and a highlight touchdown against the Chargers (terrific dart of a throw right there). His eight targets tied for the team lead on Sunday. Vannett is Russell Wilson’s unrivaled top tight end at the moment, and he’s available in over 95 percent of Yahoo leagues. Seattle will be involved in a high-scoring affair with the Rams this week, so stats should be plentiful.
