Texas’ Bijan Robinson deemed the best returning running back in college football

Texas running back Bijan Robinson has been viewed as one of the top running backs in the country since his high school days.

The No. 1 running back in the 2020 recruiting class ultimately chose to take his talents to Texas, where he has since lived up so his former five-star rating. Robinson is the heart and soul of the Longhorns offense, and could become a Heisman contender this season if he can stay healthy.

He hasn’t always had the right pieces around him, but Robinson finds a way to get the job done anyways. With below average offensive line and quarterback play last season, Robinson rushed for 1,127 yards and 11 touchdowns on 195 carries, adding on 26 receptions for 295 yards and four touchdowns through the air. He missed the final two games of the 2021 season due to an elbow injury.

The expectations surrounding Robinson for the 2022 college football season are extremely high, and he’s already been tabbed the top returning running back by 247Sports.

Robinson is hoping that 2022 is his best collegiate season yet, as many already view him as the top running back prospect for the 2023 NFL draft.
