Texans WR Steven Sims returns 67-yard punt for TD vs. Ravens

The Houston Texans found success not on offense or defense, but on special teams.

Down 10-3 late in the second quarter, Texans return specialist Steven Sims took a 67-yard punt for the game-tying score with 4:17 left in the half. Houston signed Sims to the active roster from the practice squad just three days ago.

The Texans hadn’t seen much success offensively prior to the score. Offensive penalties thwarted multiple drives and C.J. Stroud couldn’t connect with his receivers. Houston punted on three other drives and only mustered a field goal before the special teams touchdown.

The defense has held firm, though, against the Ravens high-flying offense. Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson led two scoring drives to give the Ravens the one-score leads before Sims’ punt return touchdown.
