Texans 1st drive (9 plays, 25 yards, 4:16) — The Texans go for it on fourth-and-1 from Houston’s 40-yard line, and RB Rex Burkhead picks up three yards. Three plays later on a third-and-10 from the Texans’ 43, QB Davis Mills lofts a beautiful pass that floats incomplete as WR Nico Collins wasn’t able to get there. Houston punts.

The negative play effectively puts Tennessee off schedule and turn the Titans three-and-out. CB Desmond King gets a nice return to the Texans’ 40-yard line, and gets nailed well outside the boundary to get an extra 15 yards. Houston starts out at the Titans’ 44-yard line.

Texans 2nd drive (3 plays, 3 yards, 0:55) — Houston is absolutely unable to do anything with the field position and punt.

Titans 2nd drive (13 plays, 68 yards, 6:46) — The Texans defense did a good job of making the Titans go the long way, but on third-and-6 from the Titans’ 25, Tannehill hit WR Nick Westbrook-Ikhine to give Tennessee first-and-10 at the Texans’ 46-yard line. The Texans’ defense eventually stiffens up and forces Tennessee to settle for a 42-yard K Randy Bullock field goal the is wide left.

Texans 3rd drive () — Mills throws a 14-yard pass to Burkhead to get the drive going and get to their own 46-yard line, first-and-10. However, Mills takes a sack two plays later that leads to a third-and-12 from the Texans’ 44-yard line to start the second quarter.
