The Houston Texans continue to evaluate their receiver position as they gear up for March 17 at 3:00 p.m. Central Time when they have to be under the salary cap.
According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, the Texans have released former Fort Bend Elkins receiver J’Mon Moore. The 6-3, 205-pound wideout originally signed a two-year, $1.675 million reserve/future contract with the Texans with a $780,000 base salary for 2021 and an $895,000 base salary for 2022.
Moore spent time with the Cleveland Browns on their practice squad from 2019-20. Prior to joining the AFC North club, Moore went undrafted out of Missouri and caught on with the Green Bay Packers in 2018. While with the Packers, Moore caught two passes for 15 yards in 12 games. Moore also returned four kicks for 102 yards.
