Tennessee high school football scores: Week 6 TSSAA live updates

Two undefeated Region 6-5A teams face off to headline Week 6 in the 2023 Tennessee high school football season.

Nolensville faces Centennial in the Tennessean's Game of the Week on Friday. The winner has the edge to win the region title heading into the second half of the season.

In non-region play, FRA hosts East Nashville in another battle of 5-0 teams. This will be a step up in competition for the Eagles, as FRA has blowout wins over the Webb School and Franklin so far in 2023.

Centennial's Kani Johnson's crazy catch helps Cougars win in final seconds

Is this the catch of the year in Middle Tennessee, given the situation? In a 14-all game, Kani Johnson makes a tremendous catch in the final seconds for Centennial.

It was tight, but the slowed-down video shows that Johnson got his right foot down just before his hand touches out of bounds.

Seconds later, Centennial kicks the game-winning field goal to win 17-14 and move to 6-0.

Week 6 has been the Friday night of some excellent finishes, including two game-winning field goals in the final seconds in separate Williamson County games.

BA played better tonight, especially defensively, but the Eagles are now 1-5.
