Tennessee football schedule: See when and where the Volunteers are playing this week

The expectations are high for Tennessee coach Josh Heupel and QBs Joe Milton and Nico Iamaleava. University of Tennessee Chancellor Donde Plowman has already said her goal for the year is for the Vols to beat No. 1 Georgia in Athens.

Last fall Tennessee upset Alabama for the first time since 2006, a win that became a defining moment of that season, prompting fans to light cigars in Neyland, tear down the goal posts, march them out of the stadium and baptize them in the Tennessee River. The Vols will face the Crimson Tide for a rematch on Oct. 21, but this time on Alabama's home turf.

Before you head to the next home game at Neyland Stadium, be sure to check out our fan guide to parking, restaurants, clear bag rules and more.

And for every home game, be sure to catch the times for that week's Vol Walk.

Oct. 21: Tennessee at Alabama (Bryant–Denny Stadium).

The Vols lost 34-20 after many fans incorrectly predicted a repeat of last year.

Oct. 28: Tennessee at Kentucky (Kroger Field), game time 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.

The Vols won 33-27 on the road against the Wildcats.

The Vols won 48-24 in a "chippy" game.

Which bowl game will Tennessee football get?

That's still up in the air. The Gator Bowl in Jacksonville on Dec. 29 is one possibility.

The Volunteers played in that game in January 2020. (They beat Indiana 23-22.)
