The results are in, and New Smyrna Beach baseball player Tate Haag has been named the Athlete of the Week for the week of April 29-May 4.

The sophomore pitched 6⅔ shutout innings against Oviedo in the District 4-6A finals, which the Barracudas won 8-0. Haag also added six RBIs. He claimed 84% of the votes.

Spruce Creek tennis player Giselle Adekunle took second with 13% of the votes.

The AOTW poll launches every Monday and closes at 10 a.m. Thursday.
