Sturgis golf finishes sixth at invitational

STURGIS — The Sturgis golf program hosted another sponsored tournament on Wednesday afternoon.

This was the Sturgis Bank & Trust Invitational, with a dozen teams competing at Island Hills Golf Club. Sturgis finished the day with a round of 384, which was good for sixth place overall.

Winning the invitational was St. Joseph with an impressive team score of 358. Vicksburg came in second with a 366 and Harper Creek shot 371 to round out the top three spots.

Sturgis swims to state cut on way to win over Marshall

Leading Sturgis on the day was Maddy Webb, she carded a round of 93. Citori Kosmerick added a 95 on the day while Aspen Hyska shot 97.

Sturgis golf wins another jamboree to continue hot start

Mia Martinez finished with a 99, Piper Sterling shot 107, Hannah Falkenstein shot a 108 and Mackenzie Webb finished the round with a 123.

Three Rivers also took part in the event, shooting a team score of 479 to finish 10th overall.

All four of Three Rivers' golfers finished with career-best rounds.

Sturgis girls run to second place at Holly

Lilly Zabonick shot a 103 and Maggie Gose shot a 120. Ashton Ware added a 121 and Cassandra Gillette's round was a 135.
