Studs and duds in the Cardinals’ preseason loss to Chiefs

Ingram’s first game action was promising. He rushed for 28 yards and a touchdown and added two catches for 20 yards. He had burst and elusiveness.

Wilson has been great in camp and all offseason. He was in the starting lineup but did not have an impact. He did not have a catch (he also was not targeted) and he even was penalized for holding.

STUD: P Nolan Cooney

Cooney seems to surprisingly be ahead in the battle for the punting job and he punted well. He averaged 54.3 yards on two punts and both were downed inside the 20.

DUD: CB Christian Matthew

Matthew had four tackles but was beaten in coverage, drew a penalty and missed other tackle opportunities.

STUD: LB Josh Woods

Woods started at linebacker with Kyzir White and was the leading tackler on the team. He cleaned up other teammate mistakes and made a great play forcing a fumble, although Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice recovered it.
