Will Stetson Bennett be with the LA Rams in 2024? Sean McVay gives latest update

LA Rams coach Sean McVay said he is not "in a position" to predict whether or not former Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett to be with the team in 2024.

The Rams placed Bennett, a fourth-round draft pick after leading the Bulldogs to back-to-back national titles, on the reserve/non-football injury list in September. The Rams have not disclosed any further details about what placed Bennett on the reserve list.

McVay was asked if Bennett would return to the team in the coming season during his end-of-season press conference after the Rams lost to the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

"You know, I don't know that," McVay said. "I think that's a conversation for another time. I think he's doing better but I wouldn't be in a position to answer that accurately right now."

In October, McVay was asked for details about Bennett's status and responded that certain things "are a little bit bigger and more important."

Bennett went 17-for-29 for 191 yards and a touchdown pass in his first preseason game, and finished 36 of 62 for 347 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions during the preseason. He missed the Rams' regular 2023 season opener with what was described at the time as a shoulder injury before being placed on the the reserve/non-football injury list.
