Steph Curry wants Warriors to move on from Celtics loss

Steph Curry doesn’t want the Golden State Warriors to dwell on their blowout loss to the Boston Celtics. The superstar point guard believes his team’s heavy defeat is a good reminder of the improvements the Warriors need to make if they’re going to be a contending team by the end of the regular season.

However, Curry believes there’s no reason to hold on to such a tough loss, as he explained in his post-game press conference. The Warriors enjoyed a successful East Coast road trip, winning three of their four games. Their loss to the Celtics came as the final game of that trip and was likely caused by fatigue throughout the squad.

“You can wash this one down the drain,” Curry said. “But you have to remind yourself of the level that we need to get to if we’re gonna try to be a team that’s a serious threat at the end of the year.”

Curry was listed as questionable heading into the game against Boston. However, he was cleared to play after working with the medical staff and enjoying a pain-free warm-up before the game. Unfortunately for the Warriors, Curry was unable to muster any of his usual magic, as he went 0-of-9 from the perimeter.

Since the All-Star break, the Warriors have looked vastly improved on both sides of the floor. If they can put their loss to Boston behind them, they should have no problem continuing their surge up the Western Conference standings as they look to avoid the play-in tournament.
