Stay or go: Predicting the Steelers unrestricted free agents

We are less than two weeks to the start of free agency so it’s prediction time. Let’s take a look at each of the Pittsburgh Steelers unrestricted free agents and predict if they stay or go.

Things didn’t work out for Chuks Okorafor in Pittsburgh but there will be a market for him to sign and fight for a starting job somewhere.

Mason Cole was released to save money and because he struggled so much last year. No way he’s coming back.

For what kind of money he will want, Levi Wallace has to go and let the Steelers add a rookie in that spot.

It’s Adams or Armon Watts for us but only one. Right now we are leaning toward Adams if the price is right.

The closest thing to a must-sign player the Steelers have. Killebrew is the best special teams player in the NFL.

The Steelers are scouting rookie edge rushers but we want to see Golden back to allow Nick Herbig another year to develop.

We loved Kwon Alexander last season and with Cole Holcomb’s recovery lingering, we want Alexander back.

Pittsburgh needs to upgrade at the outside cornerback position and account for the return of Cory Trice so James Pierre goes.

If the Steelers don’t bring back Montravius Adams, Watts’ chances of re-signing are much better.

The Steelers need to hold onto a slot cornerback and find a boundary cornerback to start opposite of Joey Porter Jr. Sullivan is solid in the slot and shouldn’t cost a fortune.

A non-factor last season at a position that needs an upgrade.

WR Miles Boykin

Boykin doesn’t offer much on offense but he’s too good on special teams to leave.

QB Mason Rudolph

I know the Steelers want Mason Rudolph back but I’m not at all convinced he wants to come back and compete with Kenny Pickett after how things went last season.

LB Mykal Walker

Walker played quite a bit when injuries hit but he wasn’t impressive so we don’t think he comes back.

There’s no way the Steelers get desperate enough to bring back Pressley Harvin III after releasing him.

Riley only played 50 snaps on defense but was a bigtime contributor on special teams. Signing him back makes a lot of sense.
