Stars on and off the field: Meet Jacksonville's FHSAA Academic All-State honorees

For these Jacksonville-area athletes, success on the field is just one part of the equation.

Four Northeast Florida students earned selections to the Florida High School Athletic Association's 30th annual Academic All-State team for the 2024 class, announced Wednesday.

The FHSAA will recognize all 24 statewide honorees, 12 girls and 12 boys, with a commemorative medallion and a $1,700 scholarship during a banquet on Monday, June 3.

The association will also select two of the 24 Academic All-State Team members as the Ronald N. Davis Scholar-Athletes of the year, receiving a trophy and an additional $4,600 scholarship.

To earn Academic All-State recognition, a student must be a graduating senior with a minimum unweighted grade point average of 3.50 and at least two varsity letters in at least two different sports during the junior and senior year.

Hannah Bittner, Episcopal

Sports: Girls basketball and lacrosse
