How soon is too soon to start looking ahead to the next season of Delaware high school football?
It’s February. We’ve waited long enough.
It’s time for Delaware Online/The News Journal to present its early list of the top players to watch in high school football next fall.
Most of the underclassmen on this new list have already made an all-district team, which is usually a sign of even better things to come.

Many of them will be preparing to step into expanded roles next season, like going from one side of the ball to become a two-way player, or shifting to a more glamorous position like quarterback, running back or receiver.
Our preseason rankings are still six months away, and a lot of things (growth spurts, injuries, transfers in or out) can change between now and August. So for now, we’re only listing these players alphabetically.
But it’s a fair bet that this summer, almost all of our Preseason Top 75 players will come from this list.
