Stark County Terriers summer college baseball team wins second straight NABF World Series

The Stark County Terriers won the NABF World Series title for the second straight year, beating the SAYO Grays from New York 13-10 in the championship game at the Sports Force Park Complex in Sandusky on July 30. The Terriers, representing the Western Reserve Collegiate League, went 3-1 in pool play. The Terriers, representing the Western Reserve Collegiate League, went 3-1 in pool play and defeated the SAYO Grays from New York 13-10 in the final at Sports Force Parks in Sandusky on July 30. They scored five runs in the top of the ninth inning to rally for the win.

Outfielder Ben Hymes was tournament MVP after batting .533 with two home runs and eight RBIs. With the Terriers down 10-6 in the final, Hymes slugged a two-run home run to start the comeback.

Joining Hymes on the all-tournament team from the Terriers were first baseman Parker Varney, outfielder Ty Williams and pitchers Jacob Rollyson and Anthony Warner.
