Standout runners, throwers and jumpers: Our Girls Outdoor Track & Field All-Scholastics
Locals made their mark in the state and beyond this spring in high school girls outdoor track.
Lily MacDonald of Norwell produced the area's top finish at the New England championships by placing second in the triple jump. Weymouth's 4x800m relay of Izzy Galusha, Ella Bates, Kate Carnes and Gracie Richard was fifth at New Englands, and Plymouth South's Cam Travis (ninth in the 100m hurdles) and Bridgewater-Raynham's Nethica Auguste (10th in the triple jump) also starred there.
Pembroke's Sarah Claflin was dominant on the track, winning the 100 meters at the Meet of Champions and the 100m and 200m at the Division 4 state championships. She also ran on the 4x100m relay that finished first at the Meet of Champions.
