St. Thomas Aquinas boys lacrosse ends regular season with seventh straight win

DOVER - The St. Thomas Aquinas High School boys lacrosse team ended its Division II regular season on Friday with its seventh consecutive win behind five goals each from Johnny Resch and Jackson Estes with a 19-3 win over Souhegan.

The Saints finished the regular season at 11-4.

Anthony DiMartino and Finley Detolla each scored three goals for the Saints, while Aidan Morrison and Patrick Hathaway each scored one.

DiMartino had five assists, Morrison had three, Resch and Detolla both had two, and Estes had one.

BOYS LACROSSE

Oyster River 13

Kennett 3

NORTH CONWAY - Behind three goals from Sam Guilmette, Alex Moody and Cole Levesque, Oyster River (10-6) picked up a Division II win.

Travis Faul, Tyler Callander and Talon Beyer each had one goal in the win. Aidan Golding had two assists, and Guilmette, Moody, Faul, Callander and Beyer all had one.

Oyster River goalie Finn Mason had nine saves.

Gray/New Gloucester 15

Traip Academy 11

GRAY, Maine - Eli Holben, Brody Johnson and Joey Watts all had three goals for Traip in this loss.

Tucker Johnson added two goals for the Rangers, while Noah Matthews had one. Traip goalie Noah Zyskowski had 15 saves.

Winnacunnet 15

Alvirne 6

HUDSON - Caleb White's five goals and one assist led Winnacunnet to this Division II win. Antonio Franciosa had four goals and one assist for the Warriors.

Tanyon Ziolkowski and Lukas Botnick also scored for WHS, which got 12 saves from goalie Noah Andronaco.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Greely 10

YORK, Maine - Ava Fontaine, Grace Clayton and Abigail Armlin each scored one goal for the Wildcats (7-6) in this Class B loss.

Armlin had five ground balls, while Anna Doughty and Abby Dickson each caused three turnovers and goalie Tia Spenlinhauer recorded seven saves.

HAMPTON - Shea Graham scored four goals, and Maia Delano and Skyla Mace both had three to lead Division II Winnacunnet (12-4) over Division I Exeter.

Emmy Granger scored twice for the Warriors, while Taylor Burness and Abby Wilber both scored a goal.

WINDHAM, Maine - Sarah Theriault led the Hawks with four goals in this Class A loss for Marshwood (9-4).

Maddy Poitras scored two goals for the Hawks, while Lindley Gori and Eva Hersey both scored one. Hersey had three assists, Hadley Prewitt had one assist and Lauren Walker had eight saves.

HAMPTON - Lily Snow hit a double and drove in the only run for Winnacunnet (14-3) in this Division I loss.

Maeva Shapiro, Lucy Gelbstein, Maddy Eaton and Cay Adams all singled for the Warriors.

SALEM - Salem scored two runs in the first inning and held on for this Division I win.

Exeter's Edy Crawford had two doubles, while Summer Leclerc, Emma Plourde and Chloe Brunelle all had one. Brunelle scored the lone Blue Hawk run. Kristen Bickford and Madi Paige played well defensively.

PORTSMOUTH - Brooke Linchey had two hits, drove in two and scored two for Portsmouth in this Division I win.

Jordan Ovadek (hit, run, RBI), Addy Carrol (three hits, two RBIs, three runs), Evy Douglass was (three hits, two RBIs, run), Abby Nersesian (two hits, two RBIs, run), Brigid Cadle (hit), Laura Milks (run), Emi Greco (run) and Abby Sargent (run) starred for the Clippers.

PORTSMOUTH - The Clippers scored five runs in the first inning and three in the third en route to this Division I win.

Portsmouth ended the regular season with a record of 13-6.

Senior Matthew Minckler struck out nine over five innings, allowing three hits and two earned runs and picking up his fourth win of the season.

Portsmouth senior Elliot Miles had four hits, including three doubles, a home run and seven RBIs.

Sebastian Lampert and Gar Hindle both had two hits and an RBI for the Clippers, while Minckler had one hit, three walks, two steals and an RBI.

Winnacunnet 3

Windham 0

WINDHAM - Senior Pat Desmond allowed two hits and struck out seven in six-plus innings as Winnacunnet ended its Division I regular season at 15-5.

Jason Pinsonnault pitched the seventh, striking out two and earning his first save of the year.

Winnacunnet's Mason McDonald's double in the second was the lone hit of the game for the Warriors. Winnacunnet scored three unearned runs on no hits in the first.

Ethan Nowak, Jake Fredericks and Evan Gaffney each scored for the Warriors.

MANCHESTER - The Green Wave scored two runs in both of the first two innings, and added five in the fourth in this Division I win at Saint Anselm College.

Dover's Ryder Aubin homered and had three RBIs, while Brett Davis had two hits. Jacob Mangum, Timmy MacGregor, and Ryan Sullivan all had one hit in the win.

Dover's Alex Cook allowed three hits and struck out eight over 4 2/3 scoreless innings.

SOUTH BERWICK, Maine - Sanford scored both of its runs in the seventh inning of this Class A South game.

Henry Dimmerling led Marshwood (9-6) with two hits, while Noah Fitzgerald and Ty Hussey both had one.

MANCHESTER - Spaulding picked up a Division I win in its final game of the season, behind a complete-game from senior Josh Scamman.

Scamman allowed just five hits and recorded 11 strikeouts, earning the win. Colin Bissonnette had two hits for Spaulding (6-12).

DOVER - Joseph Luchsinger struck out six and allowed three hits over six innings, leading St. Thomas to this Division II win.

Timmy Avery had three hits and four RBIs for the Saints, while Michael Skowron, Charlie Covert, and Cade Murphy all had two hits.

Skowron had two RBIs, and Covert, Murphy, and Ryan Storm all had one.

ALTON - Andrew Cushing had a single and two RBIs, and Will Sneddon and Logan Perrault each had one RBI for Somersworth in this Division III game.
