Southern Miss baseball score vs. James Madison: Live updates from Sun Belt Tournament
MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Southern Miss baseball will be out to score a victory to start the Sun Belt Conference tournament when it takes on James Madison at Riverfront Park Wednesday.
The Golden Eagles (37-16) are one of the hottest teams in all of college baseball, having won 15 out of their final 16 regular-season games down the stretch of Scott Berry's last campaign as head coach. That was good enough to earn Southern Miss a second-place finish in its inaugural season in the Sun Belt.
James Madison (31-23) will oppose the Golden Eagles, having won the right to do so by topping Old Dominion on Tuesday in the opening game of the event. Southern Miss swept the Dukes in Hattiesburg in April.
