Southern Miss baseball score vs. App State: Live updates from Sun Belt semifinals
MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Southern Miss baseball will be out to score a place in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament finals when it takes on Appalachian State on Saturday at Riverwalk Stadium.
After App State won Saturday morning's contest, 4-2, the two teams will meet in an elimination game Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles (39-17) got here by routing James Madison in its first game before scoring a dramatic walk-off victory over Troy on Thursday. The Golden Eagles did not play the Mountaineers during the regular season.
Appalachian State (30-24) dropped its tournament opener to Troy but advanced through the losers' bracket by topping James Madison and getting some revenge on the Trojans.
