South Carolina football lands Jayden Sellers, first 2025 commit and LaNorris Sellers' brother

COLUMBIA — South Carolina football landed its first class of 2025 commitment Thursday from three-star wide receiver Jayden Sellers, the younger brother of freshman quarterback LaNorris Sellers.

Jayden Sellers, who is from Florence, is the No. 7 prospect in South Carolina and the No. 65 wide receiver in the 2025 class according to the 247Sports Composite. He chose the Gamecocks among offers from Cincinnati, Syracuse and Virginia Tech.

The 5-foot-11, 165-pound receiver had 827 receiving yards and 12 touchdown as a sophomore in 2022, helping lead South Florence to a Class 4A state championship with his brother at quarterback.

LaNorris Sellers, a former four-star, originally committed to Syracuse before flipping to South Carolina in late December 2022. He has appeared in one game for the Gamecocks against Furman, going 4-of-4 passing for 86 yards and two touchdowns.

The 2025 class will be Beamer's fourth since taking over the program in 2021. His 2023 signing class ranked No. 16 in the country, the team's highest-rated class since 2012, and the 2024 class is currently No. 18.
