Social media reacts to Texas WR Adonai Mitchell’s elite NFL combine

Texas wide receiver Adonai Mitchell had a huge day at the combine. In a matter of hours, he’s made himself a near lock to see his name called in the first round of the NFL draft.

Mitchell has the on-field production to warrant first-round consideration. He went for 11 touchdown receptions and 845 yards, which breaks down to more than 15 yards per reception for Texas in 2023.

The success extended to big moments such as the College Football Playoff in which he caught a second-half touchdown to keep the Longhorns in the game against the Washington Huskies. Earlier in the season, we noted Mitchell’s clutch play altered outcomes in Texas’ favor. While he consistently made plays, some had questions over his measurable athleticism. They don’t anymore.

The Missouri City, Texas, native ran his 40-yard dash in 4.35 seconds after putting up the No. 1 broad jump among receivers (11 feet, 4 inches).

Let’s look at how social media processed the impressive performance.
