How social media reacted to Notre Dame-Pittsburgh: Panthers side
How frustrating does it have to be if you’re a Pittsburgh fan? You have one real season highlight, and that was the Panthers upsetting a ranked Louisville team. Two weeks later, the Panthers are visiting Notre Dame, a program that Louisville itself pulled off an upset again, and they get crushed. You most definitely don’t want to look at that 58-7 final.
The Panthers’ bowl hopes are hanging by a thread, and Florida State almost certainly will put an end to those in a week’s time. After that, all that’s left to do is count down the games until the end of the season. There really aren’t any other options when your streak of four straight years finishing above .500 likely is about to end.
This isn’t to rub reality in the faces of Panthers fans. It merely is an attempt to step inside their minds. While we can’t do that for sure, these tweets give us an idea:

Atrocious #Pitt 🏈 Team. The offense stinks and it starts with the OC and his lack luster unimaginative outdated scheme and 1980s trickery. https://t.co/kBYUXjuDsA

Everyone remember when Narduzzi pushed Whipple out of town because Whipple’s offense outperformed his defense when we won the ACC? What a joke this season has been… #pitt

How great was Kenny Pickett to carry the Pitt team a couple years ago with this pitiful coaching. Pickett masked the real problems at Pitt. #pitt #pickett #narduzzi #HereWeGo #Steelers #pittfootball

#Pitt has now allowed 58 points against Notre Dame. This is the most points they've allowed since 59 against Oklahoma State in 2017.
This is also the fourth time they've allowed 58 or more points to Notre Dame

Again, it’s 51-0. Narduzzi can’t be fired because of his contract cuz that’s what legit D1 teams do. #Pitt #H2P
