Sixers rule Kelly Oubre Jr. out vs. Celtics, could return vs. Wizards

As the Philadelphia 76ers continue their 2023-24 season, they continue to await the return of Kelly Oubre Jr. The versatile forward out of Kansas is dealing with a rib fracture after being struck by a vehicle on Nov. 11 and he has since missed 10 games.

He is traveling with the Sixers on their current road trip and after missing Wednesday’s loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, there was hope that maybe Oubre Jr. would be able to return against the Boston Celtics.

However, the Sixers ruled Oubre Jr. out. With that being said, there is hope that he could return to the floor maybe against the Washington Wizards on Dec. 6.

Oubre is averaging 16.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, and shooting 37.8% from deep on the season. The Sixers are missing Oubre Jr.’s ability to play on both ends of the floor and Philadelphia will continue to piece things together until the veteran can return. The Sixers are 5-5 in the 10 games without him.
