Sixers rookie big man Charles Bassey earns multiple G League honors

The G League season is over in the NBA and it is now time to honor those who had standout seasons during their season.

Philadelphia 76ers rookie Charles Bassey spent the majority of his season with the team’s G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats, and he put together an impressive season with the Coats.

Bassey averaged 18.9 points on 64.9% shooting, 10.2 rebounds, and 3.5 blocks while helping the Blue Coats make the G League finals before they fell to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. Bassey’s season earned him multiple All-G League Team awards.

The second-round pick from Western Kentucky was named to All-NBA G League Second Team. the G League All-Defensive Team, and G League All-Rookie Team.

This is the type of season that Bassey can use as a springboard for his second season. He just needs more of an opportunity to be able to go out there and get the necessary court time to show that he can play at this level.
