While the 2022-23 NBA season is still weeks away, there is competitive basketball being played in EuroBasket 2022. Philadelphia 76ers guard Furkan Korkmaz is playing for his native country of Turkey.

After drama earlier in group play when he was ejected and then got into an altercation with some Georgian players, Korkmaz is beginning to get back into a scoring groove for Turkey.

On Wednesday, the Turks took on Spain. Even though they fell, 72-69, Korkmaz had a solid game. He totaled 16 points on 6-for-17 shooting and he knocked down three 3s with three rebounds and three assists.

After shooting just 28.9% from deep in the 2021-22 season, Korkmaz is looking to bounce back in a big way this season. His shooting is going to be a very important piece of whatever the Sixers plan to do on the floor.
