Sixers expect Joel Embiid to return soon, possibly vs. Thunder at home

The Philadelphia 76ers have had a tough couple of months waiting for the return of superstar Joel Embiid. The big fella hasn’t played since Jan. 30 after undergoing a meniscus procedure on his left knee back on Feb. 6 and the Sixers have dropped to No. 8 in the standing without him.

However, with seven games left to play in the regular season, the Sixers are expecting the reigning league MVP to return to the floor soon. Philadelphia returns home on Tuesday to play host to the Oklahoma City Thunder and are just two games back of the Indiana Pacers for the No. 6 seed in the East.

There is a possibility that Embiid returns against the Thunder on Tuesday. The injury report on Monday will determine his status for that contest.

If Embiid can return against the Thunder, he would obviously give a big boost to this Sixers team and look to move them forward a bit in the standings. If Philadelphia can climb out of the play-in tournament, that would be a big boost as the end of the season draws near.
