Spanx may be synonymous with shapewear, but stylish shoppers know the brand also makes a line of chic leggings that incorporate that same smoothing and shaping technology. They're a Nordstrom shopper favorite and right now, Spanx leggings are on sale as part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021.

While the sale technically officially begins Wednesday, July 28, Nordstrom cardmembers can shop right now. Don't have a card yet? Through Tuesday, July 27, you can sign up for a Nordstrom credit card and get a $60 Note (similar to a gift card) when you qualify—as well as immediate access to the sale.

One of Spanx's best-known styles is their faux leather leggings, which drop from $98 to $64.90, a savings of $33.10. Reviewed senior staff writer Rachel Murphy tried the cult-favorite leggings and said they looked great, felt comfortable and were a versatile piece in the closet. In short, she said, "when it comes to quality, fit, and style, these leggings check all the boxes." The majority of Nordstrom buyers who have left reviews agreed: They have a 4.4-star rating from almost 3,400 (!) reviewers. The leggings are available in both petite and regular sizes, as well as plus sizes—keep in mind that the fit runs small, so Nordstrom recommends sizing up. (Note that you can get an even lower price on the leggings at QVC—$55.86—but with limited colors and sizing.)

If you prefer a more pant-like look to your leggings for a night out, business meeting or more formal event, the Spanx Perfect Back Seam skinny pants are down from $128 to $84.90, knocking $43.10 off the final price tag. Available in petite plus, petite, regular and plus sizes, they look like dress pants with a tailored back seam that Spanx claims has an elongating effect. Buyers say the pants are comfortable and flattering, comparing them to a thicker pair of leggings. "My first thought," enthuses one buyer, "was, 'Where have you been all my life!'"
