Sharks savagely subtweet Golden Knights during win over Avalanche

The San Jose Sharks are busy competing in Round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but they (they being their social media team) took the time to deliver one last parting shot following the franchise’s epic seven-game struggle with the Vegas Golden Knights.

After Brendon Dillon went off for a four-minute major penalty that was, without question, worthy of a call, in Game 1 versus the Colorado Avalanche, and the Sharks managed to kill off the double minor, they pressed send on this cold-blooded tweet:

Of course, it was a questionable five-minute major penalty assessed to Vegas’s Cody Eakin which helped launch the Sharks into the second round. They erased the Golden Knights’ three-goal lead with a four-goal outburst while Eakin sat in the box in the third period of Game 7, before advancing on Barclay Goodrow’s overtime winner.

The NHL since admitted that a mistake was made, but that wasn’t going to change the fact that it was the Sharks on to Round 2.

San Jose holds a 1-0 advantage over the Avs after a 5-2 victory in Game 1.
