SevenConnecticutwomen's lacrosse players named to US U20 Training Team
Jul. 10—Nearly 100 players took part in a three-day tryout at the USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, MD, according to the USA Lacrosse website.
The roster features the last two GameTimeCT All-State MVPs in New Canaan midfielder Kaleigh Harden and Darien attack Chloe Humphrey, who will be teammates at North Carolina this year.
Harden just completed her freshman season with the Tar Heels, while Humphrey helped lead Darien to an unbeaten season and FCIAC and state championships.
Also making the cut from Darien are goalie Shea Dolce, a sophomore at Boston College, and defender Kate Demark, who will be a freshman at Virginia.
Midfielder Devon Russell is a rising senior at New Canaan and has verbally committed to Boston College.
Maddie Epke, a 2022 graduate of Guilford, is a sophomore attacker at James Madison.
The 2023 Spring Sports Championships will be held between Thursday, June 8-Monday, June 12, 2023.

Jordyn Harrison, a defender from East Orange (NJ), played for Hotchkiss and is now a sophomore at Michigan.
According to the USA Lacrosse website, the training team roster features players from high schools in 12 states and the District of Columbia, with 19 colleges represented through either current enrollment or commitments.
A training camp will be held at the USA Lacrosse Headquarters in August and the players will then compete in the USA Lacrosse Fall Classic, Oct. 13-15.
The final roster will be determined following those events, with the team playing at the 2024 World Lacrosse Women's U20 Championship in Hong Kong next summer.
