The New York Giants looked like shadows of their former selves at Wednesday’s practice.

Seven starters did not participate. This doesn’t include wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr., Dwayne Harris, and Brandon Marshall, who were all placed on injured reserve this week. Beckham, Harris, and Marshall are all out for the rest of the season.

Linebacker Jonathan Casillas (neck), safety Landon Collins (ankle), running back Paul Perkins (ribs), cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, offensive lineman Weston Richburg (concussion), wide receiver Sterling Shepard (ankle), and defensive end Olivier Vernon (ankle) all missed Wednesday’s practice.

Perkins, Richburg, and Vernon all missed Sunday’s 27-22 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Beckham, Casillas, Collins, Harris, Marshall, and Shepard were all injured during the game.

Rodgers-Cromartie was in and out of Sunday’s game but wasn’t at practice or listed on the team’s pre-practice report. Reports later surfaced that Rodgers-Cromartie had been suspended by the team for leaving the facility before practice.

The Giants began preparation for Sunday night’s road game against the Denver Broncos. The Broncos are coming off their bye week and have the NFL’s top-ranked defense.
