See it: Colts’ Anthony Richardson rocks Super Bowl XLI jacket pregame

Indianapolis Colts rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson may just be entering the league, but he’s well aware of the history that follows the organization he’s leading.

Ahead of the preseason matchup against the Chicago Bears, the No. 4 overall pick walked into Lucas Oil Stadium rocking a varsity jacket that paid homage to Super Bowl XLI.

Of course, that was the Super Bowl in which the Colts defeated the Bears, 29-17, in Miami.

Even though it’s just a preseason game, the fact that Richardson is paying attention to the history of the organization is notable. It’s a nice little troll job from the rookie, who was named the starting quarterback this week before the Bears came to town for joint training camp practices.

We’ll see how much Richardson and the starters play Saturday night, but that jacket surely looks good on the rookie.
