Section V's top players Friday: QB throws for 6 touchdowns, nearly 400 yards
Here are the top performances on football fields around Section V during the Week 2 games on Thursday and Friday:
Isaiah Ballard, Irondequoit: Finished with three quarterback sacks among six tackles and caught four balls for 88 yards during a 28-2 win for the Eagles over Wilson/Early College.
Alex Bernardi, Newark: Threw six touchdown passes while completing 15 of 22 throws for 369 yards, as Newark defeated Jamesville-DeWitt of Section III at home 48-42.
Jared Bishop, Livonia: The team's main ballcarrier on a night the Bulldogs' passing game clicked, had 106 rushing yards on 16 carries Thursday during a 35-12 win over Bath Haverling.
Shamir Bridges, McQuaid: Defensive lineman made five tackles, including a sack that helped the Knights shutout Pittsford, 28-0.
DeSean Bruce, Geneva: Senior receiver had three receptions for 82 yards and a touchdown, and rushed 11 times for 36 yards and a touchdown, during a 44-0 win over Rochester Prep.
Tavion Byrd, UPrep: The junior quarterback connected with seven different receivers, completing 15 of 23 passes for 185 yards and two touchdowns during a 27-7 win over Canandaigua.
Bronx Buchholz, Batavia: Threw two touchdown passes, one interception and rushed for two touchdowns among 130 yards on 15 carries to help the Blue Devils pull away to a 33-14 win over Wayne.
Sam Clark, Canandaigua: The sophomore running back had 15 carries for 62 rushing yards and a touchdown during a 27-7 loss at UPrep.
Amari Colon, Monroe: Caught six receptions for 151 yards and two touchdowns, and rushed for another touchdown, during a 54-6 win over Honeoye Falls-Lima.
Collin Cox, Canisteo-Greenwood: Quarterback threw three touchdown passes while completing 14 of 19 passes for 238 yards and ran for a touchdown during the team's 28-0 win at home over Geneseo.
Rey DeJesus, Geneva: The senior quarterback completed 8 of 13 passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns, and rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown, during a 44-0 win over Rochester Prep.
Anthony Diaz, East: Had punt return touchdowns of 57 and 71 yards and caught six passes for 74 yards, during a 49-14 win over Gates Chili.
John DiBattisto, Hilton: Led the defense with 13 solo tackles and an interception. He also rushed for 17 yards during a 20-14 overtime win over Fairport. Brayden Pike also added 10 solo tackles.
Will DiMarco, McQuaid: DiMarco threw two touchdown passes while completing 11 of 19 attempts for 180 passing yards and ran for another touchdown as the Section V Class AA champions defeated Pittsford 28-0.
Caleb Felski, Pembroke: The fullback rushed for a touchdown during a 58-22 win over Caledonia-Mumford. Quarterback Vijay Dhanda also scored a rushing touchdown.
Mekhi Fortes, Batavia: Fullback/linebacker ran for 85 yards on 14 carries and made 5 ½ tackles during Batavia’s 33-14 win over Wayne.
Kellen Foster, Newark: Three touchdown receptions among seven catches for 141 yards during a high-scoring 48-42 win over Jamesville-DeWitt of Section III.
Cam Freeman, Irondequoit: Three rushing touchdowns while gaining 76 yards on six carries, as the Eagles defeated Wilson/Early College 28-2.

Harold Gomez, Geneva: The senior had three tackles and two sacks while his defensive linemate Justen Martinez added three tackles and one sack, during a 44-0 win over Rochester Prep.
Cole Grazioplene, Batavia: Had a touchdown reception and intercepted a pass during a 33-14 win for the Blue Devils over Wayne
Zailen Griffin, Batavia: One touchdown run while gaining 82 yards on nine carries, as the Blue Devils defeated Wayne 33-14 at Van Detta Stadium.
Serah Hall, Irondequoit: Linebacker played the part of a menace to Wilson/Early College, with 13 tackles, incluidng two sacks during a 28-2 victory.
Messiah Hampton, Monroe: Caught five receptions for 123 yards and a touchdown during a 54-6 win over Honeoye Falls-Lima.
John Harding, McQuaid: Rushed for 90 yards, had 53 receiving yards and scored a touchdown during the team's 28-0 win over Pittsford.
Drew Hilfiker, Webster Schroeder: Warriors quarterback tossed five touchdown passes while completing 16 of 22 attempts for 345 yards, as his team defeated Eastridge 42-14.
Gavin Horton, Webster Schroeder: Caught three touchdown passes while finishing with 90 receiving yards on four catches as the Warriors defeated Eastridge 42-14.
Zymier Jackson, East: The quarterback was a perfect 10 for 10 for 251 yards and two touchdowns, and added 85 yards and another touchdown on the ground, during a 49-14 win over Gates Chili.
Robbie Johnson Jr., Geneva: The junior had a 14-yard touchdown reception and caught an interception during a 44-0 win over Rochester Prep.
Tyler Judd, Brockport: Six receptions for 95 yards during a 26-20 double overtime win over Brighton.
Caleb Kimmel, Pembroke: Returned a kick 70 yards for a touchdown during a 58-22 win over Caledonia-Mumford. He also had seven tackles.
Ricky Lagares, Churchville-Chili: Rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown during a 33-0 win over Greece Athena. Josh Campbell, Eli Burnley and Eric Neal each scored a touchdown.
DeAndre Leonard, East: Recorded 10 tackles, one for a loss, and forced a fumble. Perrion Williams had 10 tackles and a sack, and Jeremiah Tucker had nine tackles and a sack, during a 49-14 win over Gates Chili.
Robert Lowry, Hilton: The senior running back had 24 carries for 172 yards and three touchdowns, including the five-yard game-winning score of a 20-14 overtime win over Fairport.
Justin Maier, Webster Schroeder: Finished with 113 receiving yards on four catches, including a touchdown during a 42-14 win over Eastridge.
Deshawn McClemmon, Greece Arcadia: The senior did it all during a 39-38 win over Spencerport, collecting over 250 all-purpose yards with six total touchdowns — which included a punt and a kick return.
Eoin Meyer, McQuaid: Made nine tackles in McQuaid's defense and rushed for 60 yards as a ballcarrier to help the Knights defeat Pittsford 28-0.
Kamari Miller, UPrep: The sophomore middle linebacker collected 5.5 tackles in leading a stingy defense. Jaylen Singleton added five tackles during a 27-7 win over Canandaigua.
Isaiah Moonschein, UPrep: The senior caught a 10-yard reception at H-back, and on the defensive line added 5.5 tackels, 2.5 for losses, a half-sack, three pressures, and forced a fumble, during a 27-7 win over Canandaigua.
Khaya Moses, Monroe: Completed 13 of 20 passes for 311 yards and four touchdowns during a 54-6 win over Honeoye Falls-Lima.
Nate Parker, Brockport: Led the defense with 13 tackles during a 26-20 double overtime win over Brighton.
Antonio Peasante, Geneva: The senior defensive end had two of his six tackles go for losses, and added two sacks, during a 44-0 win over Rochester Prep.
Jaiden Pierce, Canandaigua: The junior caught an interception and had a 37 yard reception during a 27-7 loss to UPrep.
Sean Pustkula, Pembroke: Nailed all eight of his PATs and caught an interception on defense during a 58-22 win over Caledonia-Mumford.
J.J. Reese, Canisteo-Greenwood: Caught 20- and 4-yard touchdown receptions, 5 catches for 61 yards overall during the team's 28-0 win over Geneseo.
CJ Robinson, UPrep: The junior running back scored twice on 23 carries for 145 yards during a 27-7 win over Canandaigua.
Adam Ruffalo, Victor: Returned a punt 46 yards for a touchdown, gained 89 rushing yards with a touchdown on five carries, intercepted a pass and made a team-high eight tackles as Victor defeated Webster Thomas 34-16.
Juelz Russell, UPrep: The senior receiver had six receptions for 103 yards and a touchdown during a 27-7 win over Canandaigua.
Landon Scott, Brockport: The quarterback rushed for four touchdowns on 22 carries for 102 yards, and completed 15 of 24 passes for 170 yards during a 26-20 double overtime win over Brighton.
Tyrell Simmons, UPrep: The senior receiver caught two receptions for 21 yards and a touchdown — his third of the season — during a 27-7 win over Canandaigua.
Chase Shepanski, Churchville-Chili: The quarterback three for three touchdown and ran for another during a 33-0 win over Greece Athena.
Tommy Stewart, Livonia: Forced and recovered a fumble and made six tackles during a 35-12 win Thursday over Bath Haverling.
Tyson Totten, Pembroke: Rushed for 330 yards and five touchdowns on 15 carries in the first half of a 58-22 win over Caledonia-Mumford.
Jackson Trubia, Livonia: Threw three touchdown passes Thursday while finishing with 163 yards passing during a 35-12 win for the Bulldogs over Bath Haverling.
Tyler Washington, Webster Schroeder: Caught four passes for 113 yards with a touchdown during the team's 42-14 win over Eastridge.
Kyle Wetterings, Livonia: Caught three passes for 112 yards, including a 53-yard reception for a touchdown, and had a two-yard touchdown run Thursday during Livonia's 35-12 win at Bath Haverling.
Owen Wetterings, Livonia: Finished with three catches for 82 yards, including 20-yard and 52-yard touchdowns, while Livonia defeated Bath Haverling 35-12 Thursday.
Hayden Williams, Pembroke: Led the Dragons defense with 10 tackles during a 58-22 win over Caledonia-Mumford. His defense also collected a safety, and Madden Perry and Landon Suro each added seven tackles.
Ervin Wiggins, East: Had three receptions for 61 yards and two touchdowns, and returned an interception on defense, during a 49-14 win over Gates Chili.
Nazhier Wilson, Monroe: Had three carries for 100 yards and a touchdown during a 54-6 win over Honeoye Falls-Lima.
Taivon Wilson, UPrep: The junior linebacker recovered his own forced fumble, and one of his seven tackles went for a loss, during a 27-7 win over Canandaigua. Tye Lebron-Melford ended the game with an interception.
Dre Yeomas, Victor: Scored two rushing touchdowns while gaining 80 yards on 11 carries to help the Blue Devils defeat Webster Thomas 34-16.
Eric Young, Victor: Picked off two passes during the Blue Devils' 34-16 win over Webster Thomas.
Beau Zeh, Canisteo-Greenwood: Made six tackles, carried 13 times for 77 yards and kicked through 4 of 4 point after touchdown attempts during Canisteo-Greenwood's 28-0 win over Geneseo.
