West Ham have agreed a fee in the region of £20million with Ajax over the sale of record signing Sebastien Haller. The striker was set to undergo a medical with the Dutch club on Thursday.

Haller, who cost West Ham £45m in the summer of 2019, is expected to complete his switch to Ajax as the London club step up their efforts to find a replacement.

Bournemouth forward Josh King is believed to be among West Ham’s targets and is likely to cost about £7m with only six months remaining on his contract.

Michail Antonio has missed games through injury this season and David Moyes could not risk selling Haller without having the green light to sign a replacement.

Haller was largely a disappointment at West Ham after joining from Eintracht Frankfurt, scoring 14 goals in 50 appearances for the club.

The 26-year-old fell behind Antonio in Moyes’ pecking order and struggled to fit into the Scotsman’s style of play, despite scoring some spectacular goals.

King is yet to score in eight Championship appearances for Bournemouth this season, but uncertainty over his future has affected the Norwegian’s role at the club.
