Seacoast roundup: Annie Parker's two goals lead Portsmouth girls to fifth straight win

PORTSMOUTH - Behind two goals from Annie Parker, and a goal each from Sylvia Guarracino, Ailish Honda and Maeve Honda, the Portsmouth High School girls soccer team defeated Windham, 5-1 in a Division I battle Tuesday at Portsmouth High School.

Portsmouth (9-2) extended its win streak to five games.

Carolyn Milks had two assists in the win, while Ailish Honda, Ginger Vincinguerra and Avery Timerman all had one.

Defensively, Liv McCormack and Laura Milks shined, and goalie Haley Coombs had six saves.

GIRLS SOCCER

Winnacunnet 1

Bedford 0

BEDFORD - Winnacunnet's Liana Pacheco, assisted by Moxie Clifford, scored the game-winning goal midway through the second half of this Division I match.

Bedford is now 9-2, while Winnacunnet is 6-3-1. Molly Houlihan, Emmy Granger, Taylor Burness all played well for the Warriors.

HANOVER - Lauren Roeder scored two goals, and Sophia Nadeau had an assist to lead Exeter (10-1) to this Division I win.

Newmarket 5

Sunapee 0

NEWMARKET - Olivia Blackadar scored three goals, AJ Mulligan scored one, and Newmarket (10-0-1) benefitted from an own goal in this Division III win.

Blackadar, Amaya Beckles and Paige Sweitzer each had an assist for Newmarket.

St. Thomas Aquinas 1

Hopkinton 1

DOVER - Elizabeth Flynn scored a goal, assisted by Maddie Karsonovich as STA (10-0-1) tied this Division III matchup.

STA goalie Genna Bolduc had five saves.

BOYS SOCCER

Greely 1

YORK, Maine - Nick Hoy, on an assist from Stefan McGovern, scored the game-winning goal with 3 minutes left in regulation as York (5-4) won this Class B South matchup.

Connor Roberge also scored for York.

Bonny Eagle 1

Marshwood 0

STANDISH, Maine - Bonny Eagle scored with 83 seconds left in the game to beat Marshwood (1-8-1) in this Class A South matchup.

Nashua North 1

Spaulding 0

NASHUA - It was a battle to the end as Spaulding (3-7-2) received great defensive efforts from Nate Devine, Matt Scamman, Mike Kimble and Ben Brand in this Division I loss.

Portsmouth wins three-team match at Stonebridge

GOFFSTOWN -- Portsmouth's Shea Harrison was the medalist as he shot 2-under-par 35 to lead Portsmouth to a three-team win at Stonebridge Country Club.

Portsmouth had a team score of 192, while Bow (204) and Goffstown (211) placed second and third, respectively.

Grey Gagnon shot a 36 for the Clippers, while Grant Haberstroh had a 37, AJ Struble shot a 42 and Noah Weeks shot a 44.

Exeter wins three-team match at Nashua

EXETER - Exeter's Jascha Johnston shot a medalist round of 2-under-par score 34 to lead Exeter at Exeter Country Club,

Exeter had a team score of (199), while Bishop Guertin (212) and Spaulding (223) placed second and third, respectively.

Adam Boys (38), Bryce McGuinness (41), Brady Smith (42), Braeden Gwinn (43), Will Evans (43) and Connor Jaworski (43) rounded out Exeter's scoring.

SOUTH BERWICK, Maine - Marina Friedman, Erika Parker and Sienna Sapountsis each scored a goal as the Hawks won this Class A South matchup.

PORTSMOUTH - Josh Gross and Riley Willard each scored three goals to lead the Clippers, while Anya Gronblom, Lexi Lambert and Adrianna Marcus all scored as well. Portsmouth goalie James Archambault shined.
