Savannah Bananas tickets are how much? What to know about seeing team’s Philly game

The quirky and super popular Savannah Bananas baseball team takes on The Party Animals on Sept. 21, at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

And if you didn’t score tickets from the team’s official lottery you’re out of luck.

Or, are you?

"As a reminder, the only way to purchase tickets is through our website. There are no more opportunities to get tickets for this season," the Savannah Bananas said in a post on its Facebook page.

But, that isn’t stopping resellers from trying to cash in.

On the Savannah Bananas website, the team makes it clear that there are no more tickets available for the 2024 season.

"There are no more opportunities to get tickets for the 2024 season. You can join the 2024 Ticket Wait List at www.bananaball.com/ticketwaitlist, " read a portion of the ticket information link on the Savannah Bananas' website. "Please know that joining the Wait List will not allow you to purchase tickets for the 2024 season, but it does let us know your interest in Banana Ball and gets you tips and tricks on getting tickets in 2025."

The Bananas acknowledged third-party ticket resellers have gobbled up tickets, and that scams are duping fans out of their money.

"Our tickets start at $35 when you purchase them from our site. If you find some that are way more than $35, those tickets had been bought from us and are now being sold on a third-party platform that we cannot control," read more of the Savannah Bananas' ticket policy. "These third-parties include StubHub, Ticket Master, etc.

"We also highly recommend that you do not purchase from people on Facebook as those are typically fraudulent," the policy continued. "Warning: tickets purchased through third party sites are often fraudulent and will not be accepted."

Sure enough, tickets to the September game are now available on third-party sites, and being sold with an unbelievable markup.

The least expensive Savannah Bananas - The Party Animals game ticket on StubHub is $208, with the highest priced ticket going for more than $1,300.

The least expensive Savannah Bananas - The Party Animals game ticket on Ticketmaster is $342, with the most expensive ticket on Ticketmaster is going for $1,680.

And the least expensive Savannah Bananas - The Party Animals game ticket on Vivid Seats is $268. The most expensive ticket Vivid Seats has for the game is $711.

Who are the Savannah Bananas?

Their pitcher, Dakota "Stilts" Albritton, stands 10 feet tall.

Their owner, Jesse Cole, wears a bright-yellow tuxedo, akin to Theodore Shackleford's getup in the "Curious George" cartoons.

And to top it all off, the Savannah Bananas don't allow walks, and if a fan catches a foul ball in the stands, it counts as an out.

The Savannah Bananas are an exhibition baseball team based in their namesake southern city. Think of them like the Harlem Globetrotters, but for baseball. Their home games are played in Savannah, but they also travel the country, entertaining fans in their "world tour."

The team plays their own version of the game called "Banana Ball," which aims to speed the game up and make it more exciting.
