GF coach Brady Terrill said: "We had a phenomenal showing today in TRF. It's nice to go out of state and get a variety of competition versus staying in state and wrestling the same teams every week. We took first place out of 14 teams led by our seven tournament champions. We had several highlights but the biggest highlight would have to be Emily Novak, North Dakota's reigning state champion at 155, who defeated Sarah Pulk, Minnesota's reigning state champion at 152 in a 10-7 decision. Lexi Ray also had a great win over a returning Minnesota state qualifier in Bemidji's Tori Bahr. Lexi and Emily won their individual brackets as well as Kaylee Kurz, Giovanna Lima, Kyah Wiley, Sky Kopp, and Kathryn Sullivan. This was a great day for us to build some momentum going into the last week of the regular season."

GF coach Brent Newman said: "It was great to get the opportunity to swim against some teams and athletes we hadn't seen yet this season in an invitational atmosphere. We challenged the guys to compete and focus on what they are doing right in the water, and they really stepped up to that challenge. It was evident very early on that the guys were swimming and diving more relaxed, with less pressure, and while not every swim/dive was a PR, they had some very significant breakthroughs with their effort and technique."
