Baseball-San Francisco pitcher Bumgarner named World Series MVP

KANSAS CITY, Missouri, Oct 29 (Reuters) - Madison Bumgarner was named the Most Valuable Player of the World Series following the San Francisco Giants' Game Seven victory over the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday. The 25-year-old left-hander earned wins in his two World Series starts, striking out 13 batters and allowing seven hits in 16 innings before earning a third win after pitching five shutout innings in relief during the clinching game.
